A customisable teamwear store for a sports retailer

An online store for sports teamwear and supporter merchandise — with 3D product previews, crest and name/number personalisation, squad bulk-ordering and a fast, image-heavy catalogue.

Commerce that fits the product

Teamwear isn't standard retail — it's personalised and bought in bulk. We shaped the store around that: crest uploads, name-and-number, squad pricing, all on a catalogue built to stay fast.

About

This client sells sports teamwear, replica kit and supporter merchandise online. The challenge with teamwear is that almost nothing is off-the-shelf: fans and clubs want to personalise items — names, numbers, uploaded crests — and order in bulk for whole squads, all while the catalogue stays fast and payment and delivery stay simple.

We built the store on WooCommerce, extended for personalisation and squad ordering: 3D product previews, artwork upload at checkout, name-and-number add-ons, minimum and tiered bulk-order rules, and multi-currency pricing — on a hardened, image-heavy catalogue tuned for speed.

“
Fans can personalise their kit and clubs can order for the whole squad in one go — and the site stays fast however many photos we throw at it.

How we built it

A multi-stage approach.

01

Discovery

We mapped how fans and clubs actually buy teamwear — personalised, often in bulk — and designed the store around those journeys rather than a standard product grid.

02

Personalisation

We added 3D product previews, artwork/crest upload at checkout, and name-and-number add-ons, so a supporter can make a kit their own before buying.

03

Squads & currencies

We built minimum-quantity and tiered bulk-discount rules for team orders, and multi-currency pricing for overseas and touring clubs.

04

Speed & fulfilment

We hardened an image-heavy catalogue with a caching and image-optimisation stack, and wired up payments and branch-friendly shipping.

The impact

What changed.

Make it your own

Shoppers spin a kit in 3D, upload a crest and add a name and number — the personalisation that teamwear lives on, handled at checkout.

Built for squads, not just shoppers

Minimum-quantity and tiered bulk-discount rules mean a club can kit out a whole squad in one order.

Ready for any club

Multi-currency pricing serves overseas and touring clubs from the same catalogue.

Fast, even full of photos

A caching and image-optimisation stack keeps an image-heavy kit catalogue quick to browse.
