One checkout, seven payment gateways

Asking a merchant to switch card processor to join a platform is a deal-breaker. So the checkout now fronts seven payment gateways — Stripe, PayPal, Worldpay Online, Worldpay Business Gateway, Realex (now Global Payments), Secure Trading (now Trust Payments) and SagePay — behind a single abstraction, each configurable per merchant.

Every merchant keeps their existing acquirer and their own credentials, while there's still only one checkout to build and maintain. It's a small phrase — 'bring your own gateway' — that quietly removes one of the biggest barriers to onboarding.
