A league table as a serverless widget

Sometimes the right answer is a tiny one. A club wanted its league standings on its own site, always current, without paying for a data feed. We built a small serverless function that scrapes the governing body's league table, drops it into an HTML template, and publishes it as an embeddable widget.

It runs on demand for a fraction of a penny, needs no server to maintain, and has been quietly carried across three .NET runtime upgrades over the years — proof that small tools deserve looking after too. The club iframes the widget; the standings are always up to date.
