Website health check
Not sure who looks after your website? We'll find out what it runs on, who holds the keys and whether the backups work. £250 + VAT, and the £250 comes off any work you then go ahead with.
A 63Digital website health check is a fixed-price review of a business website for £250 + VAT. We check what the site runs on and how out of date it is, who holds the domain, hosting and admin logins, whether updates are being applied, and whether the backups work. You get a short, plain-English report: what's fine, what needs attention now and what can wait. If you then ask us to do any of the work, the £250 comes off it.
What we check
Platform and versions
What the site runs on (WordPress, WooCommerce, Umbraco or a custom build) and how far behind the current, supported versions it is.
Accounts and ownership
Who holds the domain, the hosting and the admin logins, and whether the business could get into each one tomorrow if it had to.
Updates and security
Whether the CMS, plugins and the server underneath are being patched, and anything installed with a known vulnerability.
Backups
Where they are, how often they run, and whether anyone has ever checked one can be restored.
The report
What's fine, what needs attention now and what can wait, in plain English, with what we'd recommend for each.
Is it for you?
A good fit when
- ✓Nobody's quite sure who looks after the website any more
- ✓The developer or agency who built it has moved on
- ✓The business relies on it for enquiries, bookings or payments
Probably not when
- –A developer is already actively looking after it (ask them the five questions first)
- –The site is already down or hacked (call us instead: that's a rescue, not a check)
Common questions
What does a website health check cost?
£250 + VAT, fixed. If you then ask us to do any of the work, whether that's fixing what we find or looking after the site from then on, the £250 comes off it.
Do I have to use you afterwards?
No. The report is yours. If you'd rather keep things in-house or with your current provider, it tells them what to look at.
What do you need from me?
The website address and, ideally, access to the hosting and the site's admin. If you don't know where those logins are, that's fine: finding out who holds them is part of the check.
Which websites can you check?
WordPress and WooCommerce most often, along with Umbraco, Shopify and custom-built sites. If yours runs on something we don't know well, we'll tell you up front.
